It's been 15 years since the inception, and months of recent work, but I now have books that are nearly ready for sale.
I first started selling some colour wheel kits for the Prismacolor colour pencils in 2012. These are no ordinary colour wheels! I had to plot on a prismatic wheel where every pencil colour would sit in relation to every other pencil with the Cyan, Magenta and Yellow primaries system. Even though the numbers were reduced by not using the greys, black and white, I still had about 150 colours to place in their correct colour positions. The wheels with their charts were recently updated as some colours have been discontinued or new ones added by the manufacturer. So, after starting again with new wheels, I decided to add swatch charts and other useful information and create professionally printed books. These are an extremely useful resource for colour pencil artists, where they can have all their references in one handy workbook. Currently they are 32 or more pages long. Available soon will be books for the full sets of these professional colour pencils: 150 current Prismacolor pencils 150 plus discontinued Prismacolor pencils 120 Polychromos & Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils 100 Luminance pencils It is still a work in progress. I need to find the perfect paper that will print colours cleanly but still have enough tooth to accept colour pencils for the swatches and blank wheels. The first test print from one company wasn't acceptable so I'm now working with another. It's a slow process to get the books exactly how I need them, but I will announce when I have stock to sell. I'm very excited to see these books come to fruition! Then I'll start on my other project of a book on colour mixing charts and wheels for watercolour. Stay tuned for the progress! UPDATE: Two books have been printed and are in stock now. See HERE.
