A weekend workshop covering everything you need to know to get started in colour pencil art
Jan will teach you how to elevate the use of coloured pencils to a fine art medium. By layering, blending, burnishing and underpainting you can achieve either realism or creative results. Learn about techniques, tools and materials and discover a range of surfaces apart from paper that are surprisingly ideal for use with coloured pencils. Explore why this medium is so versatile!
COLOUR PENCIL CREATIVITY – A 4 Day Workshop of creative ideas
September 15-18
Designed for those who attended the weekend workshop or anyone who has previously learnt the basics, these 4 days will focus on various surfaces and unique ideas that suit colour pencils. Students will have the option to experience these different approaches or work on a more time-consuming project on paper with Jan’s guidance. There is also the choice to discover how to use watercolour as an ideal underpainting or background medium which pairs perfectly with colour pencils.
