Trees, plants and rocks are the subjects for this workshop. The focus will be on capturing the different characteristics and patterns of these beautiful forms. Drawing skills will be greatly improved with the knowledge gained from Jan’s instruction.
Where: ‘Framed Just for You’ Unit 2/ 142 Brisbane Rd, Biggera Waters, Gold Coast. In the same building as Eckersley’s Art & Craft. Upstairs air-conditioned studio. Parking directly outside.

WHAT TO BRING
Artist quality graphite (lead) pencils in a range of grades from B-6B. Choose from either woodless or wood-encased drawing pencils or mechanical pencils.
Kneadable eraser (aka Putty eraser)
Very smooth board, A3 size or thereabouts to rest your paper on
Soft brush for brushing away pencil crumbs
Quality pencil sharpener. Jan will bring 3 of hers which you are welcome to use
One sheet of graphite transfer paper. Masking tape.
A sheet of quality paper A4 or A3 size. Either Hot Press (Smooth) 100% cotton watercolour paper or Stonehenge paper or quality drawing cartridge at least 240 gsm.
Totally Optional: Tinted drawing paper in neutral colours.
References: Jan will also have plenty of copyright-free references to share, but you are also welcome to bring your own choice.
Morning and afternoon tea is complimentary, BYO lunch. (Refrigerator & microwave available.) Restaurants directly across the road.
