Join me for an in-depth 5 and a half days of painting and creating with watercolour and colour pencils.
Watercolours and colour pencils are a perfect match. This workshop will explore how to use them together to create vibrant and/or textural paintings of a variety of subjects. Backgrounds and undergrounds can be painted with watercolour and the pencils used for detail work.
Bring any “failed’ watercolour paintings (optional) to see how they can be improved with the addition of pencils, used either wet or dry.
Different techniques with aquarelle (water-soluble colour pencils) will be covered. Students will learn many tips on how to get professional results.
Also provided in the course will be lessons on how to paint watercolour on canvas and coated boards. This saves a lot of money in framing and gives a more contemporary look.
Some basic experience with watercolour is essential, but newcomers to colour pencil art are welcome.
